PRESS RELEASE: January, 2024 OHSU Knight Cancer Institute helps address cancer-related needs across Oregon
2Live2Cure was one of 11 funded projects from the OHSU | KNIGHT CANCER INSTITUTE | COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FOR 2023. We are honored and humbled to receive this grant from the CPP acknowledging this cancer related need and stepping in to provide the necessary funding to make this project happen. Grant funding received from this program will provide the most requested services and support offerings by cancer patients directly in the clinic setting. The ‘Road to Recovery’ Oncology Support Center will be piloted at a rural Oregon hospital to be announced. 104 Oregon Cancer Patients participated in this survey with 860 total responses from cancer patients across the nation.
With this project we aim to remove the barriers to access that patients face in receiving non-medical support services in rural communities. In this setting, we will provide comfortable and personal offerings like; massage, spa/facial offerings, care kits, journals, meals, snacks & beverages, online classes, information and more.
Onsite-service offerings will help to make a very difficult journey a little less so. A small effort can go an incredibly long way to making a big impact.

2023 Statistics are summarized. 2Live2Cure received 860 responses to our US SURVEY. We received responses from patients in 49 States and were able to capture a snapshot of patient needs and barriers to receiving support and care regardless of type of cancer diagnosis, geography, demographic or financial or social status. We offer this information freely in the hopes that oncology departments, providers, hospitals and clinics can make data driven decisions on in-clinic offerings provided.
